Her heart is calling for you. The stress is getting to her. You have to let her know that you are there for. That you support her no matter what. The pressure is getting to her. Help her release.12AM. I have my iPOD, gloves, jacket, and hat in my hands. I gather my keys and I leave the house. 2hrs 30 plus minutes, 120-something miles are ahead of me. She is worth it and I want her to know that she is appreciated.
The music is blasting. I'm rolling down the road. Passing traffic, cars passing me, shifting my eyes through the darkness from left to right to avoid tunnel vision. My eyes are working back and forth from my cell to the time to the road. I hope she doesn't call me before I get there. I hope she accepts my visit. It's been over hundred days since I seen her. We've been through a lot and I not sure at all of where we stand. Tonight will tell me everything.
I finally made it to my destination. I hope she calls. She has a lot on her plate and even me doing this is a dare, but it's worth the risk. I will wait an hour and if I get no call, I will leave and go about my way. She will not know close I was to seeing the person I love. Damn, I'm going the wrong way. I need to find a place to do a U-turn. A glance of my cell phone and I have a new text. It's a smile. I reply back the only way I know how: "hey beauty." Ten seconds later, the ringtone of John Legend's "Another Again" plays and her picture is displayed on my phone. It's her. She tells me that she is getting something to eat. We talk about what she has been up to and she told me how bad her back hurt. This is a great time to interject:
"I could give you a massage if you like."
"That would be great but that be like 2 hours away."
"How bout I give you one in ten minutes?"
"Huh? What?!? You're here?"
"haha, yes."
She seems glad that I'm here but doesn't believe me. "Stop lying" she says to me. I started to tell her what road I was on. "Stop lying." I name the most random landmarks I could see before I reach her campus. She starts to believe. She tells me her time is short but jumps in her car to find me. I'm lost on campus. I tell her what road I'm on and she tells me she is going down the street. I hit a U-turn to head back to that street. I'm driving and I see her car ahead of me. She tells me to slow down as she does also.
She gets out of her car. My heart pounds. She still as beautiful as the last time I saw her. I get out the car. She apologizes for her appearance. Only if she knew how long I've been waiting for this moment. Only if she knew that she is beautiful anytime I see her. Beauty is her essences. She throws her arms around my neck. I can tell the stress is getting to her. As places her forehead upon the bridge of my nose, she thanks me for coming. I let her know that I will always be there. Cars pass as we embrace each other kissing and our cars in the middle of the street. She looks up and my lips softly press upon hers. The emotions release. LOVE.
Her emotions pours out like morning rain and a flood of words come from her. I tell her that I'm here for. That I'll be waiting at the finish line for her and that I love her. She kisses me one more time, finds her strength, puts her hood up, and rolls out.
I drive behind her for a little before I make my exit. It was everything I dreamed of. This was worth it.
I'm almost home and she texts me to let her know when I make it. She calls when I make it to the last light before home. 30 minutes of conversation as I lay down talking to her. I let her everything and end with saying
"I love you."
"Me 2."
