Merry Christmas to all!!! And Thanks to you...

Well, let me get this done now, because if I don't now, I won't before I head to Mississippi (no internet or phone service.) Today Suns vs. Mavs, Thursday, packing and Friday, trying to see people who are home before I leave. Well, I want to give thanks to people special in my life. I'm gonna start with family, then my dudes, and last but not least, the ladies. Here we go:

Family:

Mom: YOU GAVE ME LIFE, WOMAN! WHAT MORE DO YA WANT? I'M GREAT! Naw, but seriously, I have no idea what to say thank you for other than everything. You taught me a lot and raised me in to the person I am. I thank you for the times you had to work two jobs, just to keep a roof over my head. For going out of your way to make sure I had all the necessities in life and that I get my education after high school. I know that you want me to never settle for less and I won't. I know I have a lot of people looking up to me and I won't let them down. Thank you again.

Aunt Mickey: Same what I said for my Mom goes to you. Along with that is that you taught me how not to be selfish and to work hard for I want. That money is not everything, but family is. I thank you a thousands for that lesson in life.

Granny: Same as my mom and Aunt. I so wish at this moment I could give you the world. That I could take care of you the same way you took care of me. You're the most caring person in the world. I guess, you are who I got it from. I love you, Granny and one day, you'll get what is due to you. I'll make sure of that.

The Uncles (Dee, Cheeba, and Tyrone): Dee, Cheeba, and Tyrone, thank you for showing me how to be a man and take care of mine. That's a valuable lesson that a lot of young males should know and I'm glad you taught me. Also, thanks for developing my sense of humor. Y'all comedy is going to have y'all on reality tv one day, haha.

Cousins: All 4,000 of y'all. I love all of you and just know that if you ever need anything, I'm there. I'm also there to protect from any unnecessary BS that you go through. I'm gonna make sure you're okay and happy. While I make sure that you're okay, just stay positive and focus for me. Strive and achieve only the best. You that for me and I'll make sure the world comes to you.

My dudes:
Sean: Haha, I still remember the first time I met you. Straight comedy, man. You are one of the longest friends I ever had and I truly value our friendship. Your destined for greatness, man. Just stay focus and keep doing your thing. If ya need anything, you know I got ya, man. Much love to the fam, too.

Q: Even though, I joke with you and put ya down a lot, know that you're one of my best friends. You are one of the first people I met when I came to Virginia. A lot of things have change but your focus and what you want in life hasn't. Neither has your stinginess, haha.

Gezay: You been through a lot, my nig. You're focus and happy now. Just keep doing your thing and everything you want, fam, will come to you.

Darnell: You are one of the craziest dudes I met! I respect ya for that. You are one of the original party starters and leader Sxi Phi Sxi. Keep doing your thing and stay out of trouble, man. Every new story deals with you and court. Work on that for 08'.

DeVon: You no-picking-up-the-phone-light-house-nigga. HAHa, this year was crazy. New York, King of Prussia, VA. East coast trotting. I know ya busy and confused thinking that you're from the A now, but keep doing your thing, man. Just make sure that whenever ya in the 'Bridge, get up with me. Like Biggie, we always 'have a story to tell.'

Dex, Cor', & 'Dre: Y'all are my people. Dex, I knew you since elementary. Crazy to see how much we grown up. People will never know how corny you was growing up. Cor' keep doing you and taking care of yours. Just don't go Gay-vy on me. Even if ya do, my dude. 'Drem what can I say? You're tall, haha. You know ya my dude. Stay focus and stay being goofy.

Justin & Jarius: My little brothers. Just, stay out of trouble. You are too smart and have too much going for ya. Let the little stuff go and strive for the big picture. Jarius, stay growing lil' man.

Shawn & Huey: The Jersey boys! Y'all are my niggas. Shawn, thanks for being there when I needed ya. That meant a lot because you didn't have to pick up the phone or listen to my 20 minute rants. I thank you for that. 08' is YVES year, mayne. Time to do it big.

Hugh, crazy year. We sort of drifted but I still value your friendship a lot man. If you ever need anything, advice, anything, just let me know. I got you. Thank you for everything you did also.

The Ladies:

Jasmine: This whole year has been a learning experience for me. I'm glad that I went through it with you and that we have become stronger from that. You are my best friend. You are also my love. I have never experienced half the things in my life with you. Our lil' trips/rendezvous were and still are the greatest and I know that in 08', they will be much greater. I am proud of you. I'm proud of how focus you are in school. I'm proud to know you. I adore your opinion and every story/joke that you tell me. I might not laugh out loud at all of them, but I'm smiling every time I hear your voice. 08' will be a new year for us and a progressive change. We both understand where we coming from and what each other wants. Now that we got that and the other BS is drifting in our past, success is OURS. All you have to do is take my hand. Love you!

April: Hey, Nerd!! This year was crazy. Your first time away from home and you're doing great. I'm proud of you for that. We also went through a lot, but I'm glad we figured out where we stand. You are forever a best friend to me and I won't take that for granted. If I ever need a One Tree Hill or early Smallville question answered, I know who to turn too. Stay smiling and calm down on all that shopping. You're addicted!

Nadia: NADS! haha, I couldn't help myself. You were one of the first people I met at Drexel, even though that was a little stalkerish on your part. When I look at it, some of the people that mean a lot to me, I might not have met if it wasn't for you. I also like to thank you for being an ear to listen to me. Thank you for the advice and insight. It means a lot to me. You were there when I was at my lowest and I'm grateful for that.

Maggie: Mags, I could say the same thing for you as I did for Nadia, minus the stalker stuff. You are my good friend and I'm always there for you. Thank you for listening and also giving great advice. We both went through our problems this year. Also, thank you for inspiring me to make a blog. If it wasn't for you, this wouldn't exist. The way you are focused, you are on the road to do great things. Get those frequent flyer miles up and be ready to Jetset.

Juliana: Jules, crazy year also. It seems that you're happy now and I'm glad that you are. I hope that all the things you were unsure with in life, you have a better understanding in. You still can't drive worth a damn, but don't worry. That is what chauffeurs are for or boyfriends (keep Alex in check *whip crack*). And take care of 'Ton and the rest of the family.

Evonne: I hope 08' will be your time for YOU! I hope you focus on that this year. You been through a lot and that's what you deserve. You are a good friend and person. I wish you nothing but the best and all the happiness your way.

Jasmine J.: Your dad has paid me $1,000 to make sure that boys stay away from you at school. I think I'm doing pretty good at that job, haha. You was always a ear to listen to me(way, way back in the day). This is your first time away from home and I'm glad that you haven't stayed away from what is actually important. I already know that Desi and you will do great things in the future. The young ladies at MOBC have great ladies to look up too.

Well, that's all, folks. If you weren't mentioned, don't take it personal. You should know I'm lazy.

I WISH EVERYBODY A MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR! ENJOY EVERY SECOND YOU HAVE AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EVERY SECOND YOU GET!

GO, SPEED RACER, GO SPEED RACER, GOOOO!

Speed: What the hell did I just watch? HA HA
Trixie: The trailer for the Speed racer!
Speed: Interesting. HA HA

What you just watched was the trailer for the upcoming anime-to-live action movie, Speed Racer. So if you never been up late at night and came by it on Cartoon Network or older than 25, I'll let Warner Bros. tell you what it is.

Hurtling down the track, careening around, over and through the competition, Speed Racer (played by Emile Hirsch) is a natural behind the wheel. Born to race cars, Speed is aggressive, instinctive and, most of all, fearless. His only real competition is the memory of the brother he idolized-the legendary Rex Racer (Scott Porter..who?) - whose death in a race has left behind a legacy that Speed is driven to fulfill. Speed is loyal to the family racing business, led by his father, Pops Racer (John Goodman), the designer of Speed's thundering Mach 5. When Speed turns down a lucrative and tempting offer from Royalton Industries, he not only infuriates the company's maniacal owner but uncovers a terrible secret-some of the biggest races are being fixed by a handful of ruthless moguls who manipulate the top drivers to boost profits. If Speed won't drive for Royalton, Royalton will see to it that the Mach 5 never crosses another finish line. The only way for Speed to save his family's business and the sport he loves is to beat Royalton at his own game. With the support of his family and his loyal girlfriend, Trixie (Christina Ricci), Speed teams with his one-time rival-the mysterious Racer X (Lost's Matthew Fox) - to win the race that had taken his brother's life: the death-defying, cross-country rally known as The Crucible. - Warner Bros.

I could've wrote a generic version of the movie, but Speed Racer to me never really had a plot minus the racing against your brother's legacy. You take that out and it's just racing around for nothing but pride. LIKE NASCAR! Well, maybe not, because these cars are equipped to take out the competition or help you out. Probably would make it better to see Earnhart back flip over Gordon.

TRAILER THOUGHTS

I think it is a pretty decent trailer for the movie. I love all of the cast that was picked for it minus Speed and Spritle. No offense to the lil' kid but I don't see Spritle when I look at him. Same goes to Emile. He really doesn't scream Racer. I understand though, because who else could ya pick? Zac Efron?? It would've made more money. The teenyboppers love him. Emile is a good actor depending on the script. You give him a great script (Into The Wild) and he'll give ya gold. You give him a bad or mediocre one (Alpha Dog), he will suck like no other. Matthew Fox looks bad ass as Racer X. He seems to be kicking a lot of ass in the movie. That equals a good sign.

A lot of people are complaining over the stylistic CGI in the movie. They are saying that it is too fake and looks cheap. From what I heard, this is not a cheap move at all ($100,000,000 (estimated)). When it comes to the Wachowski brothers and you're a studio, you are guaranteed to break bank. Through the CGI, they are trying to blend live action and CGI together to create an aesthetically looking movie that looks just like the TV show. As anybody that is a fan of anime knows (me; not really), the show and other shows at the time were high on technicolor. It was loud and colorful as any poser who is trying to bring the 80's back. I said as far as bring anime to life, that have succeeded. That's exactly what it would look like. Unless you made an Akira or Ninja Scroll movie, there is really know what to get away from that.

Overall

I said it looks like pretty good. Depending on how bad the script is can make or break this movie. The only reason why is because of the lead, Hirsch, and he has to be able to pull it off. Everything else looks good. So, I give this trailer a 7 out of 10.

Directed by the Wachowski brothers

Starring Emile Hirsch, Christina Ricci, Susan Sarandon, John Goodman, and Matthew Fox

How many times do you wake up in the morning and say "I love my arm"? Probably never. Why? Because its always there and you figure that it is always going to be there. Until you meet the day, when you don't have an arm. Then you look back at all the things you could do when ya had it and you finally notice how much you loved that arm. And you might be able to get an artificial arm but it's not the same. You won't feel complete til you have that arm back! -Kris Dorsey

2 months later...(La Vie En Rose)

and my heart is still in the same place. The thing is, I'm okay with it. Actually, I'm pretty happy about it. There is no doubt, no what ifs, THIS IS WHAT IT IS. A lot of people wonder why I even go through it. How am I this nice guy and why do I put up with it? In all realness, I'm not really putting up with anything. I pretty much knew what I was gonna go through and there was two routes that my heart would have led me.

1) I see that it's not worth it and I go on with my life. In the end, I will still have a good friend in my corner.

or

2) Go for what my heart desires. Let time take its course and love the person who has my heart. In the end, I will still have a good friend in my corner.

I'm going with number 2. Why? Deep down in my heart, I know she still loves me. Deep deep deep down, she wants to give "US" a chance. The thing is, I know that she has her doubts but along with that she has her outside influences working on her. But let me speak on how I know the feelings are still there:

There is a lot of things I can pick at, but I break down a few.

A) Communication: Her and I went from me reaching out to straight silent. Then, she opened up about how she felt about what happened and the week following we were talking heavily. During this heavily talking period, we talked hours on end. You would've thought we were together with the heavy talking that we were doing. Plus out of all our phone convos, I called twice. She reached out when she didn't have to and that means the world to me. Monday was a deep convo (you know whenever you have late night calls, it is always gonna be deep and emotional) and we talked about it. Her motto from that convo was "I don't know and I don't care." Which is really an emotional cop out:

"I don't know" is really saying that you do know. You're in emotional conflict. Love vs. rationality. Rationality tries to make sense of everything and put it in an certain context. Love escapes those boundaries and once you get it, it's a weird feeling. The reason why is because you don't understand how you could feel this way due to "this." I had to go through the same thing. I love you in the relationship but you never know how strong your love is til it is tested. If I didn't I would be okay and not have my heart as my daily reminder of where I want to be. Some times you have to let go and follow your heart. It's when you do that when things fall in place.

"I don't care" is basically saying that the feelings you have for me are true but you are willing to ignore them. Why? What will doing that accomplish? Ignorance can sometimes be bliss but not when your heart is in it. Being ignorant to yourself and feelings is the most dishonest thing you can ever do. That's like knowing you have cancer but ignoring it hoping it will go away. You be better getting help and getting better. In this, you be better doing what your heart says and being happy.

B) Subtleness. It's the lil things. The calls, what are convos are about (usually us), and just the comfort we have. Also the Freudian slips of "sweetie" and "babe" is never bad. :-)

C) The Real YOU. she has two sides. i dont know how you're a Taurus. i would understand this more if she was a damn Gemini. The first side is the "in the crowd-loud-pride-ego-you can't tell me anything-cold' side. That's the facade she puts up when she's in the public. That is the one with defense mechanism and will give ya bs excuses to hurt ya so you'll leave her alone. And the thing is, you feel that if she hurt me, i would leave her alone and it would allow her to move on. Which is far from true. Why? The other side is the 'shy-open-soft spoken-deep-unsure' person. That's the side i knew when we were alone. I know that side and that's the side I love. I'm willing to go through this because I know that side of you. I know what lies in your heart for the both us and that's how I know we can make this work.

In the end, when we look back the one thing we didn't do was: TRY! When we did, we were both somewhere else. Let's go for it. Let's do something we haven't and TRY! Not you TRY, not me TRY! Us, TRY!
